Best survival game? Metro Exodus
Metro Exodus is probably the best survival game to date. It is a first-person shooter, survival game, developed by 4A Games (an Ukrainian-Maltese video game developer studio) and published by Deep Silver in 2019 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (also Google Stadia and Microsoft Windows).
What we like most to Metro Exodus? Fist of all it has a great story. The game is based on a series of novels by science-fiction Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky. The action is set in and around the Moscow metro system, where a small group of Muscovites have survived the outbreak of World War III and try to make a life in the tunnels while avoiding the nuclear fallout and lethal mutants above.
Secondly, we love the graphic. The Metro games have been known for their graphics and atmosphere. What flaws there are mostly center around the slightly scrappy presentation, with horribly long load times, minor graphical glitches, and an occasional penchant for instant kill deaths that seem to come out of nowhere. I do think its predecessors were better games, graphics and speed wise, but it’s still Artyom and Anna.
Thirdly we love some of the features, like the dynamic weather and day-night cycles that influence everything in the gameplay. Also the environments that, as the story progresses, change along with the seasons, is another amazing feature of this excellent survival game.
While Metro Exodus is still a story-driven first-person shooter, the game’s expansive, sandbox levels feel more open and less scripted than ever. Metro Exodus is the third entry in studio 4A Games’ popular Metro series.
