My first few hours were a whirlwind. Even though I had to stop to get some work done, I couldn’t resist taking down some of the big bosses and even a few sneaky ones hiding in secret spots. Each fight felt like solving a puzzle. Just when I thought I had them figured out, they’d surprise me with a new trick, leaving me out of breath and trying to catch up.

The game features a man brandishing a sword, highlighting his bravery and skill in an epic fantasy world.

A Deep and Engaging Gameplay Loop

Black Myth: Wukong offers a deep and engaging gameplay loop that will keep you coming back for more. The game’s combat system is challenging but rewarding, and the exploration is both satisfying and rewarding. As you progress through the game, you’ll discover new abilities and upgrade your character, opening up new areas and challenges. Black Myth: Wukong’s gameplay might seem like a simple loop of exploring, fighting, and moving on. But don’t be fooled! Beneath its familiar surface is a heart-pounding adventure that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

A Well-Designed RPG System

The game’s RPG system is well-designed and accessible to players of all skill levels. You can customize your character’s abilities and stats to suit your playstyle, and the game’s progression system is fair and balanced. While Black Myth: Wukong isn’t perfect, it’s a big step forward for action RPGs because the exciting combat and beautiful graphics make it something worth trying. If you buy PS5 games (and you are not that preoccupied by the price tag), Black Myth: Wukong offers a rich experience.

A Broken Combat System?

I’ve encountered some mixed reviews regarding the combat system in Black Myth: Wukong. While some players have praised its depth and complexity, others have reported issues with its mechanics. My personal experience has been largely positive, but it’s important to note that individual preferences and playstyles can vary. The combat in Black Myth: Wukong is a joy to experience. The ability to use spells to immobilize enemies in any position is incredibly well-designed. Black Myth: Wukong — A Masterpiece of Gameplay and Storytelling While Black Myth: Wukong follows a linear progression, the game’s exploration and combat mechanics offer endless rewards.

Unbelievable Visuals and Grandious Surroundings

Black Myth: Wukong is a stunningly beautiful game that will leave you breathless. The game’s environments are richly detailed and the characters are incredibly expressive. On a powerful computer, it’s like watching a masterpiece unfold frame by frame. Every scene feels alive, with detailed worlds that seem to have a history of their own. From the magical forests to the sun-drenched temples, the art is simply amazing. But it’s not just the big pictures that are impressive — the little things are just as beautiful. The way light dances through the leaves, the shadows that move with you, and the intricate details on Wukong’s staff. Everything is so carefully made that you can’t help but stop and admire it.

Verdict: A Must-Play for Fans of Action-Adventure

Despite its minor flaws, Black Myth: Wukong is a must-play for fans of action-adventure games. Its deep and engaging gameplay, stunning visuals, and satisfying challenges make it a truly exceptional experience. Compared to other games like Phantom Blade Zero or Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Black Myth: Wukong is a standout. It’s a big, exciting adventure with both good and bad parts. It shows the best and worst of modern action RPGs.
