FIFA 22 Review — best soccer game
FIFA 22 is a sports simulation game for soccer/football fans. FIFA 22 includes some stunning animated characters, which the video game’s publisher Electronic Arts, would like you to be aware of. Small tweaks might also enhance FIFA 22’s Career Mode, and Volta Football in front of an effective revamp. Then, you could challenge the world to make your chosen stadium look even more like a glowing Thunderdome. For the loot box-related sins, Ultimate Team is the video game’s most addicting mode. It is a somewhat unchanged adventure, except for an easier and more comfortable Division Rivals’ progression structure while splitting FUT Champions into Finals and Play-Offs.
However, it’s definitely enjoyable to watch a team you’ve founded from scratch rise to the top of league football and having the possibility to do it provides a welcome novelty in the game, which was in desperate need of refreshment. Everybody knows that FIFA is the golden standard of football/soccer games, and FIFA 22 is one of the best sports games for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. There is certainly a huge moral difficulty in this room. If interested in FUT, you’ll need the shiniest, newest products and the largest player base. A new level of personalization is being added to the title this season with career mode.
FIFA 22 is the golden standard of soccer games
But as for FIFA 22, whether it is good or not… In my opinion, this is a very good game, but you have to compare it with previous games of the series. The improvements in graphics and animation are evident thanks to the next-gen consoles, but it is not that clear on PS4 and Xbox One. Concerning gameplay, this is a five-star soccer/football offering. I am one of those guys who, if there’s no indication of anything brand new, I’m waiting for the next release. If you have a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S than go for it because the upgrades are worth it. Otherwise, you will have most of the same thing, except, of course, the updated roosters.
With a litany of tweaks and refinements, FIFA 22 is considered the most polished version of the sports’ franchise. The numerous new animations stand out over all else, and the gameplay has a somewhat slower pace, with skill playing a lesser part. Adding VAR would offer more excitement for video game players who play year after year of Career Mode. Speaking of which, Career Mode has received small positive updates, but it hasn’t received the revamp I’m looking forward to, and it is a missed opportunity. Volta still struggles to show its value. The other improvements to gameplay are less grand but provide more enjoyable gaming.
FIFA 22 — Conclusion
Let me say that FIFA 22 is the best soccer/football game out there. No matter the complaints and various issues that people are worried about, there is no better soccer game than FIFA 22. Now that FIFA 23 hit the shelves, FIFA 22 has become one of those cheap PS5 games that you can get for a fraction of what they cost at lunch. The proof is in the pudding. EA declared that more than 9 million copies of FIFA 22 were sold worldwide, and over 460 million games were played. Appears similar to the previous release, but there are new ball controls, particularly in the case of the possibility of an air ball. Without alarms or surprise, EA Sports has pumped out yet an incremental upgrade to their football simulator series.
