Mortal Kombat 11 best fighting game of the year
Mortal Kombat 11 is definitely one of the best Mortal Kombat games but it’s not perfect in any way the story mode is all right but it’s not better than 9 but the fighting is perfection. The only big problem the game has is the grinding with the gear and the towers but overall is definitely one of the best games of 2019 and one of the best fighting games.
There’s plenty of single player content in Mortal Kombat 11. In addition to creating custom load outs for your characters, you can form an AI team to compete against other player’s AI teams, go through a story mode that will take most players five to seven hours to complete, participate in the Towers of Time to earn in-game currency, gear and konsumables to power up your character, Klassic Towers that are like the old arcade ladders, and a massive Krypt were you can unlock a ton of in-game content.
There are plenty of modes to sink your teeth in to, and while there are criticisms to be directed at the game funnelling players into a continuous loop of grinding in-game currencies to buy randomised loot boxes and some shady tactics regarding premium currency, the fact is that you can have countless hours of fun with Mortal Kombat 11 without ever having to spend a penny, either by building your perfect character loadout, completing towers, or testing your skills against other players in the games flawless online modes.
Fighting game newbies can feel comfortable jumping into Mortal Kombat 11, playing through the story mode, and then using the tutorial to understand the game in depth before jumping online. MK11 seems to be one of the games worth to buy — either if you buy xbox one games or ps4 games.
Aside from the story mode there’s a lot to do in Mortal Kombat 11. The arcade-style Klassic Towers return as players can take each character on the roster into a series of fights. (Scorpion and Sub-Zero are friends now, and Liu Kang is the zombie king of hell’s army!) Also, the new loadout system, which allows you to swap out each character’s special moves and combos for different ones that better suit your fighting style, doesn’t really lend itself to learning new characters, especially since the game neither supports those change-ups in its story modes, nor makes experimentation with them as easy or seamless as it should be. MK11 is certainly one of the best ps4 games of the year.
And in an unfortunate holdover from NetherRealm’s Injustice games the final boss fight in the story mode is simply awful, pitting you against an overly powerful opponent who is unaffected by most of your combos and special moves. There’s a lot to love in Mortal Kombat 11. It’s a fantastic fighter with a roster of 25 varied characters, tons of customization options, beautiful graphics, and one of the best story modes in a fighting game.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or just looking for a story mode to grind, or even just interested in learning a little more about fighting games outside of simply mashing the buttons, there is something for everyone in Mortal Kombat 11 — or at least, everyone who can stomach the extreme violence and gore. You can buy cheap ps4 games & xbox games like Mortal Kombat 11 from some retail stores like Amazon or Buygames.
