SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a simple low-key platformer that suffers against its competitors in all ways, not to mention the humor and charm it draws from the well-known show. At a time when youngsters are usually excluded from bigger releases due to difficulty spikes, The Cosmic Shake is refreshing and is a welcome addition. This might be Battle for Bikini Bottom: Redux. A slightly different spin regarding the classic, featuring similar assets, gameplay as well as concepts. Another nitpick with Cosmic Shake’s gameplay is the fact that a lot of the battles are far simpler and easier to see through compared to the game title’s platforming and simple puzzle-solving elements.

The recently released Spongebob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is developed with the help of Purple Lamp Studios, which was responsible for Battle for Bikini Bottom — Rehydrated. Spongebob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is in stores, and you can find even cheap PS5 keys to activate the game. Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated was a welcomed and decent trip down memory lane, however, Purple Lamp studios, free of restrictions, has produced an even better game: The Cosmic Shake. It is perhaps the greatest SpongeBob video game title at this point.

The story relies heavily upon the ball player character’s actions, as they trigger stories and alter the pace of the gameplay. The music, the gaming, and the graphics, as well as the loveable characters, will usually have me returning to Bikini Bottom. I do not see why this will not happen for The Cosmic Shake as well. Some say it does not have much replayability value. I don’t know… in the normal acceptance, once you finish the game and sidequests, there is not much to do. However, playing with these beautiful characters is enjoyable, and it is not difficult to see players coming again.

There are a lot of platform games available, some will probably be much cleaner and have even a whole lot more enjoyable gameplay, and possibly even have an interesting story. But it is clear which is the sale point of The Cosmic Shake: the SpongeBob SquarePants license. It’s the only good thing…some may say. You will buy The Cosmic Shake chiefly because of the fun cast of characters… and is truly just fine. It is not a low-quality game, it is a normal game, a standard (so to speak) 3D platformer video game. And again, this is just fine. If you do not have high expectations, you won’t be disappointed.

The team’s response to the game is SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, a video game title that is founded on single gameplay as the remake of 2020, but with some new ideas that are it is own. If you are a fan of SpongeBob or enjoy old-style platformers, The Cosmic Shake is a good choice, and it will offer you at least 7 hours of gameplay to finish the main story. The challenges in adapting gameplay from platforms to 3D have led some developers to compromise by pairing the visual brilliance of 3D with traditional 2D side-scrolling gameplay. It is not the case here. SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake looks brilliantly and offers smooth gameplay.

I have fun playing video games and occasionally I write reviews.
